Like Copper Coins

55Next week we will bring the GYMN training to a vanishing tribe.

We’ve teamed up with Heaven’s Eyes Tribal Mission to train young leaders of the Batak People of Palawan.

The Batak are an endangered group. Their culture, their way of life and the number of Batak people dwindle every year. Today there are only an estimated 3100 people from this group.

The opportunity coming up is very unique and important. Consider the impact in this way. There are about 21,592,000 of the Visayan People. In our ten years in the Philippines we have trained 1900+ youth leaders of this people group through our seminars. If each of these leaders had a youth group of 30 people we would have influenced 57,000 lives.  That’s a great number but it’s just 0.2% of the total Visayan population.

If we hit our target of training 30 leaders from the Batak People with this one training and each of these young leaders were able to reach out to even just 10 of their fellows that would be 240 people impacted or 9.6% of their population.

It reminds me of the woman with two small copper coins, a seemingly small thing but worth more than all the show of wealth to the Lord Jesus.

Be excited with us and join in prayer as we go on this adventure.
